Guys Nite Out this Saturday
Summer break is great (for those not taking classes this summer). But then there is no excuse you can use to get away from MBA-spouse/significant-other, newly-rediscovered fatherhood responsibilities, mowing the lawn, mother-in-law and the “need” to bring whiny kids to watch WALL.E.
Here is where the Social Committee comes to the rescue with the Guys Nite Out event!
See details below.
Since it’s a “guys-only” event, you’ll be safe from penetrating questions like “tell me, just who is going to be there?”….
The ladies will ALSO have an equally fabulous event. Yes, we are equal-opportunity here! It’ll be time to prepare MBA-spouse/significant-other to have dinner alone, re-learn diaperology and how to feed the kid(s). Just in time for the start of the fall semester, I’d say
The ladies will get to bond as soon as Laurel finds a good date for the "Girls Nite Out". Please bug Laurel Coster at laurel_coster@mba.berkeley.edu if you have preferences, ideas or any particular urgency (to bond/get away from it all/drink etc).
Note: All political incorrectness is deliberate and made in the spirit of fun/humor/parody of real life.
Finance Conference Sponsors Needed
The Haas Finance Club is proud to continue its tradition of hosting the Berkeley Finance Conference. This years conference, "BFC 2008," will be held in November (date to be announced later) 2008. The theme for this year's conference is "Navigating Through Financial Turbulence."
Some of the Conference Highlights are:• Expecting 250+ attendees from student bodies and industry professionals• Keynote Addresses• Panel Discussions• Networking Reception and Mixer• Breakfast/ Targeted Networking Lunch• Company Booths
If you think that your company may be a good candidate for sponsoring this event, we would like to hear from you. It doesn't matter if your company is not from the finance industry, it could still be part of, and can benefit from, this mega event.
