Welcome Back to School!
Over summer, our various committees have kept us all busy with social events (Happy hours, Family days), Dinner-for-8 with Alumni, Orientation (what a phenomenal new group of students!), building a home for Habitat for Humanity and this eZine. They have also continued to plot and plan for more adventures this Fall Semester, such as more alumni dinners, career talks, socials etc. (Check our upcoming eZines for more details.)
We welcome our new Dean, Rich Lyons, back from Goldman Sachs to the Haas School of Business. To learn more about him and his plans, visit http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/haas/dean/. We’re also trying to arrange a Townhall meeting, so he can meet us all in person.
We also extend a warm Californian welcome our new EWMBA Executive Program Director, Dave Gent (dgent -at- haas.berkeley.edu) – who has spent much of his career at Kellogg. Jen Sang will continue to be our Director for Academic Affairs and will also be working on best practices across Haas as Director of Cross-Program Initiatives. We shall miss the indefatigable Beth Hoch from Admissions, as she moves on to start her Masters in Education at Harvard. We wish them all the very best!!
Many thanks to our wonderful committees who have been making our EWMBA experience a special one. If you’ve got ideas and are feeling inspired, we’re looking for committee members to replace those who have graduated. Please refer to our website at http://www.haasewmbaa.com/ for more details.
Looking forward to your stories - see you in class!
- Jasmin (President, EWMBA Association)
