Financial Aid Deadline to Borrow Loans for this Fall Semester 2009

Did you know you may be able to borrow additional loan funds during the academic year, if you have not already borrowed up to the Cost of Attendance? The recommended deadline to process loan funds for this fall semester is Thursday December 10, 2009. If loan processing is not completed by the 10th, it is unlikely that additional funds will disburse before the winter shutdown. Loan disbursements are split evenly between the two semesters. The deadline to borrow additional funds for spring semester is April 15, 2010.

Please review your award summary in the Financial Aid section in BearFacts to ensure all anticipated fall semester Federal Loans or private loans are listed as paid. You may need to complete supplemental steps if the loan funds have not paid. Refer to the financial aid website for more details. (Please note, institutional loans, and some non-loan funds such as VA Benefits will only appear as accepted even if they have paid.)
For further information please contact us at finaid@haas.berkeley.edu or check out our website: http://www.haas.berkeley.edu/EWMBA/finaid/index.html

To stand out, use short, powerful evidence detailing past achievements, skills, experience and results you've achieved. Forget offering boring details and endless job descriptions -- results is what gets attention."

Time: 12:00PM-1:00PM
Location: Webinar

“Everyone has a compelling story.” Oprah says. I say everyone has a compelling career tale, complete with passions, turning points, achievements, obstacles, and desires met. And this tale is our most authentic, memorable, and compelling—most likely to get us hired. But most of us don’t know ours.

In this one-hour webinar, I will walk as many of you as I can through your own, unique (and so differentiated) career narrative from undergrad to Berkeley, where we will identify the professional traits and roles that truly define what you do and how you do it. There will be a worksheet handout for all to complete during the session. You can reflect on (or define) your own identity while seeing others discover their own.
