A message from your editors:
Summer’s finally here! Hopefully you are enjoying the breather.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support these past few weeks and months. We’re explicitly looking for comments, suggestions or concerns on two subjects:
a) What content would you like to see added to the eZine?
b) We’re attempting to migrate eZine to an automated setup with online submissions of events and announcements instead of the current manual process. In this context we’re looking for in-house expertise (yup, that’s you!) with open source applications which can be used for web-based submission and a back-end database for storing the content. If this is your area of interest, we’ll appreciate any pointers you could provide!
Feel free to drop us a note if you have any thoughts on either of the above.

Announcements:
We need student ambassadors to help welcome the round 2 admits!
Remember when you were accepted to Haas? -- those feelings of pride and excitement in meeting new folks? Now you can network with the incoming class and be a part of the action !
The Admissions Committee is looking for volunteers to help welcome the Round 2 admits for the EWMBA Class of 2012. This involves emailing ~10 new admits during the first week of June and then following up with those who would also like to have a phone call. The intent is to welcome them to Haas and to help answer any questions they might have about student life, classes, transportation, etc.
We would also encourage you (although not mandatory) to attend the New Admit Welcome Reception on June 9th so that you can meet the students in person to further build a connection.
We will have a short, 20-30 minute de-briefing session (mandatory) via conference call for all volunteers in the evening, tentatively set for Sunday May 31st.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the co-Chair of the EWMBAA Admissions committee, Sharianne Louie at sharianne_louie@mba.berkeley.edu. Sharianne is also representing co-chair, Christine Rhinehart who is on vacation and will not have access to email.
We thank you for all of your help!
EWMBAA Admissions co-chairs,
Sharianne Louie
Christine Rhinehart
