Social Committee Kickoff Happy Hour

The Social Committee is hosting the kickoff event for the upcoming year! This event is open to all part time MBA students and we are including the new admission students for Fall 2009. The first hour of the social event will be open bar. Please join us for a Happy Hour Americano at Hotel Vitale in San Francisco on Embarcadero and Mission this Friday, April 3, 2009 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Eggster Hunt and Learning Festival on the Cal Campus
Date: Saturday, April 11
Time: 10AM - 3PM
Location: Campanile Esplanade
Cost: Free
Eggster is a non-profit student run organization located in Berkeley. Every year we organize and run the largest free egghunt in Northern California. Not only is it free for all kids, it is also a learning festival with booths filled with educational activities! In addition, we partner with local charities to support youth education. There will be egg hunts throughout the day.

Graduating Students: EWMBA Community Fellows at Commencement

To the graduating EWMBA students,
First off, congrats to those graduating this May! Before you get too comfortable, we need you to submit your volunteer hours log sheet to be considered for Haas Community Fellows. As a reminder, the Haas Community Fellow program is to formally acknowledge Haas students who actively volunteer in the community. Any EWMBA students who completes at least 50 hours of community service over the time at Haas will qualify. At the Commencement ceremony, the fellows will be recognized by the Dean during the program. Please complete the volunteer log sheet and return to Monika Matthews (https://mail.haas.berkeley.edu/owa/redir.aspx?C=4f8031da0e5a4b0b87648cb42f9d3e5e&URL=mailto%3amonika_matthews%40mba.berkeley.edu) by April 15th. Email Monika if you don’t have the log sheet. We've already received log sheets from a number of you; but please send us the latest version if you have new updates.

Haas MBA Experienced Hire Career Fair

We are pleased to announce a South Bay Experienced Hire Career Fair for Haas MBA students and MBA alumni. This event will be attended by experienced hire recruiters (rather than university/new graduate recruiters) that are interested in discussing mid-to-senior career management positions with the Haas MBA students and alumni population that have 8+ years of work experience.

· Attend the Executive Resumes webinar on Thursday, April 2nd, to assist you in updating your resume for the Career Fair

Dean's Speaker Series on Financial Turmoil : Janet Yellen, CEO, San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank

San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank CEO Janet Yellen, a Haas School professor emeritus, will speak at the school at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in the Arthur Andersen Auditorium.
The event is part of the Dean's Speaker Series focused on the recent financial crisis. Yellen's speech will be open to the Haas community, with seats available on a first-come, first-served basis.

End of the Year Vegas Trip
